Privacy Policy
Offices Daily (“the site”) publishes the office fit-out archive at officesdaily.co.uk. This notice explains what personal information the site collects, why, and your rights over it. It is written to comply with UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who is responsible
The data controller is the publisher of Offices Daily, based in the United Kingdom. Contact for anything relating to your data: hello@officesdaily.co.uk. If you are unhappy with the response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), though the site would appreciate the chance to resolve it first.
What is collected, and why
Project submissions
Name, studio or company, email address, the project details you provide, and any file-transfer link. Used to review the project, correspond with you, and, if published, credit the studio and photographer. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating an editorial publication, and the consent given on submission. Submission correspondence is kept while a project is under consideration or published, and deleted on request.
Newsletter
Your email address. Subscription is double opt-in, every issue contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Legal basis: consent. Delivery is handled by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., USA); addresses are stored on Mailchimp’s systems under the safeguards required by UK law for international transfers, including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. See Mailchimp’s own privacy policy for details.
Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics runs only after you accept it in the consent banner; declining sets no analytics cookies and the site works identically. Essential cookies (such as the one recording your consent choice) do not require consent. No advertising trackers are used. Full details, including each cookie by name, are in the Cookie Policy.
Server logs
The hosting provider (SiteGround) keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting, retained for a short period and not used to profile visitors.
Processors
Mailchimp (newsletter delivery, USA, IDTA safeguards); SiteGround (hosting, UK data centre); Google (analytics, only after consent). Personal information is never sold or rented, and no special category data is collected.
Retention
Personal data is kept only as long as its purpose requires: newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe; submission correspondence while relevant; any future customer or transaction records for the six years UK tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict its use, or withdraw consent at any time: email hello@officesdaily.co.uk. Responses within one month, no fee.
